The most amazing assurance in life is knowing with confidence that you possess eternal life and will be with God forever after death. In contrast, the most terrifying uncertainty is being unsure about your eternal future.
The incredible news is that God has clearly revealed in the Scriptures how you can be saved. Everlasting life is a free gift offered to everyone — including you. The journey to salvation is described in these four essential steps:
ACCEPT That You Have Sinned
The Word of God declares, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” To sin is to violate God’s standards, miss His purpose, or stray from His commands. Every person is guilty. Sin creates a divide between us and the life God intends for us to enjoy.
BELIEVE That Jesus is the Son of God
One of the best-known verses in the Bible proclaims, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus willingly suffered and died to pay for your wrongdoing. He rose from the grave, making redemption possible.
TURN Away From Your Wrongdoing
Jesus warned, “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3,5). To repent means to change your thinking, your heart, and your direction. It's like making a complete turn after realizing you’re headed the wrong way. Repentance means recognizing the danger of the path you're on and choosing to follow God instead.
INVITE Jesus Into Your Life
John 1:12 says, “To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” Welcoming Jesus involves entrusting Him with your life and acknowledging Him as your personal Savior and King.

Keep in mind: simply saying words without meaning them accomplishes nothing. However, if this prayer reflects what’s in your heart, speak it sincerely:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for Your love for me. I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sin and rose again. I turn from my old ways and invite You to lead my life. Please forgive all my sins. I surrender everything to You. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. Help me walk with You daily. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
